About gPodder
gPodder subscribes to podcast feeds, checks them for new episodes and downloads audio and video files to your disk, so listening does not depend on a streaming service. Episodes can be played in your preferred player, and subscriptions can be imported and exported as OPML; extensions add extra behaviour such as format conversion or notifications.
The project has been developed since the late 2000s and remains active. Its GitHub releases include a zipped macOS app bundle alongside Windows installers; the most recent macOS build at the time of review is version 3.11.5 from December 2024.
