About KeyType
KeyType watches the text field you are typing in, in whatever app has focus, and shows a short predicted continuation as grey ghost text at the cursor. Pressing Tab accepts it. The project describes the predictions as on-device, produced by a local language model rather than a cloud service.
It positions itself as an open alternative to the commercial Cotypist. Install it from the DMG on the GitHub releases page, then follow the in-app onboarding.
