About Starcat
Starcat pulls the repositories you have starred on GitHub into a local workspace where they can be tagged, annotated, filtered and searched. READMEs render inside the app, and an optional AI layer summarises projects and answers questions across the repositories you choose to add to its knowledge base.
The app started as a paid product and its macOS source is now MIT-licensed. Official builds come from the Mac App Store or as a direct DMG; the core organising features are free, while some Pro workflows and higher AI quotas in those builds are unlocked by purchase. Building it yourself does not require a licence.
