About far2l
far2l brings the keyboard-driven, two-panel layout of FAR Manager to Unix systems. Alongside file operations it includes a built-in editor and viewer, and plugins for archives, comparison, a calculator, Python scripting, and NetRocks for SFTP, SCP, FTP, SMB, NFS, WebDAV and S3 connections.
It can run in plain terminal mode or in its own wxWidgets window. The project still labels itself beta, and macOS disk images are attached to its GitHub releases and packaged as a Homebrew cask. The code is GPLv2 with an added exception permitting linking with OpenSSL.
