About Gramps
Gramps keeps a family history database of people, families, events, places, sources and citations, and offers several ways to move through it: pedigree and fan charts, timelines, maps and a range of printable or web reports. It imports and exports GEDCOM, so research can move to and from other genealogy software, and its gramplet panels and add-ons extend what each view shows.
Gramps is written in Python with GTK and runs on Linux, Windows and macOS. Each release on GitHub includes separate macOS disk images for Apple silicon and Intel, which are also available through the Homebrew cask.
