About MacTools
MacTools collects small utilities into menu bar panels that you assemble yourself. Live system metrics, process lists and device batteries can sit next to quick controls for displays, appearance, audio and power, and each feature is a plugin chosen from a built-in marketplace. Panels, their icons and colour themes, including imported iTerm2 and Base16 palettes, can be rearranged and restyled.
It requires macOS 14 or later, with some plugins needing newer systems. The app and its official plugins are GPL-3.0-only; releases from before the project's GPL transition stay under Apache 2.0, as its licensing notes explain. Stable builds come from GitHub releases and Homebrew, with separate nightly builds for testing.
