About OffPDF

OffPDF collects the everyday jobs of online PDF sites into a desktop app that never sends documents anywhere. Its tools cover merging, splitting and reordering pages, page numbers and watermarks, compression, password protection and repair, conversion to and from images and Office formats, and OCR that makes scans searchable. An editing workspace adds text, images, shapes, annotations and signatures and can fill existing form fields.

Every operation writes a new file and leaves the original alone, and the app has no accounts or telemetry. The macOS download is a signed Apple silicon build for macOS 11 or later that bundles qpdf, Poppler and Tesseract; LibreOffice is needed only for the Office and PDF/A conversions. Intel Macs currently have to build from source.
