About MoePeek
MoePeek sits in the menu bar and translates whatever you point it at: selected text in another app, a captured screen region read with OCR, the clipboard, or text typed into a small input box. Results appear in a panel that does not take focus away from the window you are working in, and each action can be bound to its own shortcut.
It can use free web translators, paid APIs such as DeepL, large language model providers including local Ollama and LM Studio, or Apple's on-device translation on macOS 15 and later. The author describes it as a personal side project rather than a polished tool. Builds are published as DMG and ZIP files on GitHub.
