About ReadAny
ReadAny is a cross-platform e-book reader that pairs a conventional reading view with a set of AI-assisted tools. Alongside highlights, notes and text-to-speech, it can build a local index of your books so that you can search by meaning rather than exact words and ask questions about a book or a selected passage, with answers pointing back to the source text.
The AI features connect to a model provider of your choice, including hosted services and local runtimes such as Ollama, and the embeddings and vector store are kept on your machine. Libraries can sync over WebDAV. macOS disk images are published on the project's GitHub releases, and the README also documents installing through the project's own Homebrew tap.
