About MakLock
MakLock protects selected applications: when someone opens or switches to one, a blurred overlay covers it until they authenticate with Touch ID, a nearby Apple Watch or a backup password. Trusted Wi-Fi networks, auto-lock on idle or sleep, and a panic key add more control.
It runs from the menu bar and is distributed directly rather than through the App Store, which the author says is needed for its overlay and process handling. Treat it as a convenience barrier on a shared Mac, not a substitute for separate user accounts.
