About OpenQuack
OpenQuack sits in the menu bar and turns speech into text wherever you can type. A hotkey starts and stops recording, and speech recognition runs locally through WhisperKit, so dictation does not need an account or a cloud service by default.
An optional on-device polish step can tidy transcripts, with an editable prompt. The current 2.0 line is published as alpha releases, so expect rough edges and frequent changes.
