About OpenOats
OpenOats listens to your microphone and system audio during a call and produces a live transcript of both speakers using speech models that run locally. When the conversation reaches a question or decision, it searches a folder of your notes and suggests relevant points, using a language model of your choice: local through Ollama, or cloud models through OpenRouter or Requesty.
Sessions are saved automatically as plain-text transcripts. The project lists an Apple silicon Mac with macOS 14.2 or later as a requirement, and reminds users that recording conversations may require participants' consent.
