About oats
oats records meetings from the menu bar and turns them into transcripts with speaker labels and a Markdown summary, keeping everything in a searchable library. There is no meeting bot to invite; it captures audio on your Mac.
You choose between the free Ariso cloud backend, which requires signing in, and a local mode that transcribes and summarises offline without an account. The project lists macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon; installers are linked from its site and README, with a Homebrew tap in the repository.
