About Pinta
Pinta is a drawing and image editing program that started as an open-source take on Paint.NET and keeps a similar layout. It covers the everyday jobs: selections, crop, resize and rotate, brushes, text, clone stamp and magic wand, plus layers and an unlimited undo history. Adjustments and effects show a live preview while you change their settings.
It sits between a basic paint app and a full photo editor, which suits quick edits, simple illustrations and pixel art. Pinta is built with GTK, so it looks and behaves less like a native Mac app than some alternatives; the project publishes separate macOS builds for Intel and Apple Silicon.
