About Crisp
Crisp gathers the display settings macOS leaves out into one menu bar panel. It can add sharp HiDPI resolutions and finer scaling steps for external monitors, drive their real backlight and speaker volume over DDC, dim below hardware minimums in software, and switch a monitor's input. Named presets capture resolution, brightness, arrangement and colour settings and can be applied from the menu, the Shortcuts app or the bundled crispctl command-line tool.
The author positions it as a free alternative to BetterDisplay and Lunar. Releases are signed and notarized, and are available from GitHub or the Homebrew cask; the project states macOS 14 or later.
