About Rapid Reader
Rapid Reader uses rapid serial visual presentation: words flash in one fixed spot, with a highlighted pivot letter, so your eyes stay still while the text moves. It imports EPUB, PDF, DOCX, RTF, HTML, Markdown, plain text and web articles into a local library that remembers your position, and a full-text mode lets you scroll normally and click any word to resume from there.
Speed, chunk size, punctuation pauses, font and a light, dark or sepia theme are adjustable, and a statistics view tracks reading time and pace. The project is young, with version 1.0 in May 2026 and 2.0 in September 2026; the DMG contains a universal app for macOS 14 or later and is ad-hoc signed unless a release says otherwise.
