About Skim
Skim is a native PDF reader built for working through papers and long documents. You can highlight text, add notes and underlines, take snapshots of passages for reference, and review every annotation in a side panel or export them as text. It also runs full-screen presentations with transitions and offers a reading bar and magnifier.
It suits academic and LaTeX workflows: SyncTeX and PDFSync link the PDF back to the source in your editor, and it works with BibDesk and AppleScript. Skim focuses on reading and annotating rather than editing page content. The current release needs macOS 10.13 or later and is distributed through SourceForge.
