Lyrimuse

Lyrimuse follows whatever is playing and highlights its lyrics word by word, either in a floating always-on-top overlay, in the menu bar, in a capsule under the notch, on the Touch Bar or in a full lyrics window. It reads Apple Music, Spotify and a long list of other desktop and web players, including several Chinese music services, and searches a dozen lyric sources automatically, with optional translation and romanization beneath each line.

A lyrics manager lets you correct matches, shift timing or edit a song's lyrics, and cached songs work offline. The app can also scrobble to Last.fm and ListenBrainz and turn that history into listening statistics. The project positions itself as a maintained alternative to LyricsX; its GitHub releases include a separate Intel build, and it can also be installed from the developer's own Homebrew tap.
